This past week has been a good one. School finally started back up. (Yay!) I am taking 16 credits this term with a Nutrition for Health class, Applied Linguistics, African American Literature, and Psychology of Decision Making. So far, it looks like this term is going to be a lot of studying/reading, and a ton of writing papers. Which is good in some ways, it means I don't have to take as many tests, so thats a plus. Daniel is taking... 14 credits this term? (His schedule is so crazy I can't even keep up.) With Physics and lab, Organic Chemistry lab, a Reading and Writing for the DAT class, and he's also a Chemistry work shop leader this term, which is very fancy. Things for him seem to be going pretty well too.
TOMORROW is the BIG DAY! Daniel takes his DAT, and the fate of the rest of our lives shall be known. Am I a little freaked out? Yes. It's like we'll really finally be grown ups. :) (Haha.)
I too have completed all of my tests... I even took an extra test that I didn't need to take. Which yes, was a waste of money. Story goes... I thought that I was signing up for the ORELA turns out there are several different ORELA tests, and you have to pay attention to what exactly you are signing up for. I studied for weeks on the ORELA multiple subjects test, and on September 22 I went to the testing site thinking that was the test I was about to take. I walked away feeling like that wasn't at all what I had studied for, and was really confused. When Daniel came home from work, we did some research and found out that we had in fact registered me for the wrong ORELA test. (Goodbye $300) So we had to emergency sign me up for the correct test which I took yesterday afternoon (another $300...) The cool thing is, I passed the ORELA Early Education test (the wrong test) with flying colors, and I didn't even study for the stupid thing. Apparently you need a 220 out of 300 to pass... and I got a 257, so that was like a confidence booster. Now I just have to hope that I passed the correct test too.
Yesterday the weather was amazing, reminded me how much I truly love fall, and why it is my most favorite season. Daniel and I decorated (sort of) for Halloween tonight. That was a fun bonding moment, even though it only took about 5 minutes. Haha.
Things to look forward to this week, my mothers birthday! Which is going to be fun, I'm just DYING to give her her birthday present early, but she just won't let me. Also, since her birthday falls on a Thursday, it means I get a day off of school :) I'm getting my hair done on Friday, which I am a little nervous for. I'm dying it a dark dark black, so we'll see how it turns out. I do have to work a lot this week, so I won't really get to see Daniel, but on the upside, I get to do onboard training at BBW with my cousin Amber, so that should be fun!
Last... I have found myself sucked in to this really interesting book as of late, Pride, Prejudice and Zombies... Great book. It is probably going to be one of my favorites when I am finished reading. Alright, I'll post tomorrow after D takes his test to let everyone know what our fate shall be.... EEK!
Oh one more thing, for Halloween this year Daniel and I have decided to go as Barbie and Ken! Way excited!
